APPROVED #2

This night, my RFT costume pushed itself through judgement:

"The Rebel Legion is happy to announce that the costume you
submitted ("Ernst Stavro") has been accepted as "Formal"."

YIHAAA!

Now, Go kick some Stormies behinds!

(I feel that this can be a bit schizofrenic, a RG and a RFT in the same blogg?!?)

APPROVED!!!

My Royal Guard is finaly approved.
Did a pre-troop with it this weekend at a birthdayparty in Falun, Sweden.
(Actually, it wasn´t me in the suit - I was wearing my RFT at the time.)
But the kids was able to enjoy the sighting of a fully approved ROTJ RG!

Now I only need to glue it up and do some additional paintjobs.

Pommel, pommel, pommel ...

Where do you find the wash-knobbs in sweden?
You have to buy a complete blender to get hold of a good one.

I found a substitute, hope it´ll fit as good as anything else.

My shiny, silver Forcepike!

Well, not really shiny and not a bit silvery. Yet.
But the process is going on. I think that I have all the ingredients, except for the pommel.
Putting it together this weekend and - hopefully - give it a coat of silverpaint.

The journey has been long and bumpy.

It´s allways the smallest things ...

You should think that a simple thing as a nylon belt, or a glove, or a boot - that should be no problem!?!

Well, think again.

Red five, standing by!

Started on the X-Wing pilot.
A new project before the first is closed???
Well, thats me in a nutshell.

The beauty. Altmann no 199

Well, the suit is not really ScreenAccurate.

"All wings, check in!"
"Red 3, standing by!"
"Red 6, standing by!"
"Red 5, standing by!"
"Red Button, standing by!"
"Red Foxx, standing by!"
"Big Red, standing by!"
"Red October, standing by!"
"Helen Reddy, standing by!"
"Simply Red, standing by!"

It´s been awhile.

The summer has now ended. Hopefully this will mean that I can take control over my costuming again, but I fear that I won´t have so much time as I really want.

I couldn´t resist the temptation.

I bought a couple of more of those magnificent helmets of Altmann.

I know that they are a bit too small to be screen accurate, but the X-Wing ... How nice.

And the offer was too good to refuse.

A journey always begins with a first step.

I have now bought the fabric needed for my inner robe and the cloak. I hope.
(The mask and the brown is for another project ... Will tell more about that in time.)

The clerk in the store was not really in to cloak-sewing, so I might have gotten a bit less fabric than I wanted.

But, that will show off in the evening.

I´ve set up the machine and cleaned the room from all stuff that was in the way.

So - Now I´ll take the cut with the scissors and begin threding the machine.

Funny how your eyes adapt.

I´ve been hunting down stuff for my TR armor for only a week, and everything I see can be modded into Star Wars stuff.
Was the world like this before? I don´t think so. Or ...

This morning when I was on the sub, I saw a pair of red suedeboots that would fit perfect for my armor. The lady wearing them probably thought I was a footfetishist.

Anyone with an idea where to find footwear size 43 (metric system swedish size), give a me a comment.

First step towards the dark side.

I pledge allegiance to my pike and the empire for which it stands.

It´s now been a week since I bought my Royal Guard helmet.
I stumbled across it on my way to the library and gladly carried it around for 6 hours until I finaly got home to try it on.

Frankly, I didn´t do much studying once I finaly got to the library. I registred on the Forcepike and throw a PM at resident expert at NordicGarrison.

Well, it all turned out pretty good and I now have a long list of things to get hands.
